CenterPoint Energy All-Source RFP

 

CenterPoint Energy Indiana South is seeking a combination of resources including renewables (wind, solar and battery storage), thermal, and demand-side resources to meet the current and future needs of its 150,000 electric customers in southwestern Indiana. Information on CenterPoint's Integrated Resource Plan can be found at https://midwest.centerpointenergy.com/irp.

Generation resources are preferred to provide fully accredited capacity by 2028 and may include:

  • Renewables, both wind and solar along with battery storage in paired and standalone applications.
  • Thermal, including coal and natural gas-fired generation, hydrogen, nuclear and other resources.
  • Demand-side and load-modifying resources, whether standalone or aggregated, capable of providing accredited capacity.
  • Generator replacement bids utilizing the existing interconnection at F.B. Culley 2.

Eligible transaction structures include PPAs, asset purchases including projects in development, and demand side contracts.

Proposal Fee

Respondents may submit up to three Proposals (Projects) at no cost in response to this RFP. Respondents submitting more than three separate responses will incur a Proposal Evaluation Fee for each additional Proposal (Project) submitted. The non-refundable fee for evaluating each additional Proposal (Project) is $5,000. 

CenterPoint encourages Respondents to offer their Projects in a variety of ways and each Project offered with multiple options will be considered as a single Proposal as it relates to the Proposal Fee. Examples of such variations include transaction structure, settlement location, and paired storage configurations. Please see the RFP document for details.

Proposal Fee payments will be made via ACH transfer. When Respondents are ready to submit payment they should notify 1898 & Co. at CenterPointRFP@1898andco.com to facilitate the transfer.
